Do what you love!

If you’re anything like me, maybe you spent a lot of time worrying that anything you create isn’t good enough… perfect enough… But what’s so great about perfection? Is it the mind crippling anxiety? The self-hatred that what you thought was in your head can never be fully expressed in your hands?

Over the past couple of years (thank you, Pandemic), I’ve been working on fully expressing my creative side. It started out with writing where I published my first fan fiction novel. Pressing publish on that first chapter nearly caused a panic attack but I persevered. What was my reward?

1. Self-satisfaction that I finally did what I always wanted… dreamed about doing…

2. Finding lovely readers who believed in me, encouraged me, and enjoyed my work.

Now, my second in the series is out and I’m working on the third installment. It’s a labor of love and has broken me free of the self restraints… That voice that says “you could never make it as a writer…” But I always have been! I’ve always been a writer! I have notebook upon notebook of story ideas to prove it!

But it wasn’t just writing… Anyone that knows me will chuckle that I have craft/art project supplies up the wazzu. I’ve always crocheted and enjoyed that, but the painting and other things I’ve wanted to do… Yeah, they sat on the sideline… Until 2024. That was when my best friend and I decided it was 2024… The Year of the Baby Steps! So I’ve been painting… and you know what? I love it! I love what I’ve been creating!

So this website is to not only share my work… but also to encourage others… and to get their encouragement in return. I hope this can be a place where creativity is encouraged… consumed as it’s the spice of life! Please join me!
